Diversity in Book Language - newfangled diverse gender language, not wanted!
Ladies, gentlemen, husband, wife, mother, father, son, daughter, grandmother, grandfather, grandson, granddaughter, aunt, uncle, boyfriend, girlfriend, bridesmaid, best man, boys, girls and so on.
There I’ve said it - real people, most of whom do not want to be known by these newfangled diverse gender language - gender descriptors.
Diversity and inclusivity, to me as a writer, means accepting, understanding and compassion. Not giving everyone a pronoun!
Therefore, the novels I write – the text content - will contain language that is respectful and not fake. I’ll continue to use the terms husband, wife, son, daughter and so on.
